Lamborghini have released a limited edition Gallardo in honor of their test driver Valentino Balboni who was hired by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1967 four years after the company was founded. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni forgoes the Gallardo’s usual four wheel drive configuration in favor of a rear wheel drive set up. Although the car has only five hundred and fifty horsepower, ten less than the LP 560-4 the car is slightly faster due to its reduced weight. Only two hundred and fifty Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni will be made and first preference will be given to current Lamborghini owners.
