The Sikorsky Aviation Corporation has released its much anticipated update to the Sikorsky S-76 which dates back to 1977. The Sikorsky S-76D is an update to the Sikorsky S-76C++. The Sikorsky S-76 features include; ease of maintenance, fuel economy, a dual digital autopilot, integrated avionics, all-glass cockpit and flight management system. The main addition to the Sikorsky S-76D is that it is more suited for executive travel (like the Agusta A109 Power Elite) featuring a quieter cockpit and larger more comfortable seats as well as a more streamlined exterior. The Sikorsky S-76D helicopter is scheduled to be delivered in mid 2008.
