Maybach, the super luxury marque of Mercedes has released a watch, a Tourbillon to be precise. A Tourbillon is a watch movement which is designed to counter the effects of gravity and other perturbing forces that can affect the accuracy of a chronometer. This is accomplished by mounting the escapement in a rotating frame, so that the effect of gravity cancels out when the escapement is rotated 180°. The Maybach Tourbillon is being made by Wilhelm Reiber and only twelve will be made so this watch is going to be exceptionally rare.
