James Bond To Wear An Omega Seamaster In Casino Royale

James Bond will wear an Omega Seamaster Watch in the upcoming Bond movie, Casino Royale due out this November. It will be the standard Seamaster 300m Diver Chronometer and not the special edition Seamaster which Omega released for the movie. Omega has been featured in the last couple of Bond Movies however James Bond wore a Rolex in Ian Flemings novels. Sunseeker yachts will also be featured in the movie.

This is just getting worse and worse. First they swap the Bentley from the book for an Aston. Then they change the card game from baccarat to poker. Now they are playing around with the watch that he wears. I would have thought that something vintage would have been far more appropriate. This is just turning into what people expect a Bond film to be like and not what the early Bond novels were about. I thought this was going to be a fresh start for the franchise after the atrocity that was “Die Another Day”. Ian Fleming will be turning in his grave.

Despite the “official” Omega SA press release (which included the image above), noting only ONE James Bond watch in “Casino Royale,” I believe the images of the Planet Ocean that first broke on my site will ultimately prove a second watch in the film. Recent developments w/in the last 24 hours hype up the Planet Ocean debate all over again. Stay tuned!

who cares if he doesn’t wear the “standards” from the book? as long as he does his job as James bond he’s doing alright! he’s still cool… besides… everybody loves aston better than bentleys…. dickhead…

by the way… i wear the standard omega seamaster… and it’s definitely better than those rolex shit watches…

Regardless of the novels, Omega is a brand you’ll find on more servicemen and ex-military (eg Bond) than any Rolex model. Who the hell could aford a Rolex on a military wage? Much more suited to the Bond character. Rolex is too flash and wayyyy to passe! As for Bentley….!
