This special edition SLR is named after the Mercedes Benz 300 SLR driven by Stirling Moss and Dennis Jenkinson which won the 1955 Mille Miglia race. The improvements are mainly to the engine which has been upgraded to a 650 hp AMG V8 5.5l (So this is basically an AMG SLR). The brakes were also upgraded as well as the suspension. The car also features a slightly different interior and new rims. Mercedes also launched their SLR club for SLR owners with their first meeting in at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, southern France. All SLR owners are automatically members and the gatherings will teach them how to use their SLR fully by holding seminars with teachers such as David Coulthard.

so making a special edition of an already sweet car is a no-no now? since when retard? yeah, you stick with your idea that car makers shouldnt improve an already good thing. sounds a hell of a lot like something GM would say if you ask me. *loser*
