Château Fourcas Hosten Sold

The legendary Château Fourcas Hosten has been sold to two members of the controlling family of Hermès (the Château will have no affiliation to Hermès). The Château which is famed for its Bordeaux Cru Bourgeois Supérieur has an output of around 22,000 cases per year, they also do a secondary wine called Les Cèdres d’Hosten of which 5,000 cases are made each year. The Château which dates back to 1810 has not made a profit for the past two years but that is consistent with other Châteaux in the Bordeaux region.

From Decanter.
