<description>Interesting case - I am suprised at the weight quoted - it seems very heavy for quite a small case. I've spent the last 3 years developing a range of leather over carbon fiber cases for laptops, guitars and violins and our acoustic guitar case which measures around 120x45x20 comes in at about 6kilos.

I'm suprised they chose calf skin as this is so soft - we've used English top grain hide with an embossed pattern to help shrug of scuffs.

We chose to cover carbon with leather as carbon scratches so easily and then looks scruffy - leather just looks better the more you beat it up.

For those that are interested in this combination of materials you can read the history of our case design on the Calder blog
