Gresso Luxury Phone Made Of African Blackwood And Gold

A company named Gresso has entered the luxury mobile phone market. Gresso which appears to be based in Russia have created the aptly named Gresso Luxury Phone. The Gresso Luxury Phone is made of gold and African Blackwood. It may have been a good idea for Gresso to check up on the properties of the materials they use before making a phone out of a wood known for its brittleness. Another interesting point is the size of the screen which looks completely out of proportion. It is interesting how many companies are trying to get into the same market as Vertu.

More Photo’s after the jump and their press release.

It’s hard to imaginate, what else could surprise the most pretentious and experienced public? Even, if Vertu Diamond Collection does not impress any more. But, it’s possible … Especially …

If it is Gresso phone. The unique mobile phone executed from Blackwood and Gold, thickness of 10 mm.

The case of the phone is made from Gold and African Blackwood, which age is more than 200 years. Every Gresso phone is unique and singular. Two identical phones do not exist, as well as in the nature there are no two identical trees.

Sapphire anti-glare crystal glass frames the surface of the screen. One more feature - the patented covering of the keyboard, not conceding to diamond on durability.

Phone works in all ranges that allows to travel worldwide. It is well equipped technically.

The collection of Gresso phones is submitted by five models. The name of the designer keeps a secret up to official presentation. Only one fact is not latent, that it is well known Italian designer.

Initially, phones will be on sale only in Russia.

So far the only method of contacting Gresso is by email.

Which genius makes a wooden phone???

  2. 2 Shadus Nov 13th, 2006 at 8:12 pm

Wooden phones make “battery fires” twice as swanky!

Hey! it’s cool. To my mind, Vertu is a gold brick…Gresso looks better… thickness of 10 mm!!!
I want it!!! May be anyone presents it to me. I’ll be very-very grateful.

We we’re contacted by someone claiming that this phone was passed thru the FCC and that its actually Motorola’s answer to Nokia’s Vertu. Although now it really doesn’t sound right seeing how they have a hotmail email address.

    Who knows.

they should fire whoever wrote/ translated that english product promotional.
i could probably write a better product promo then that with my ass as the product!

i doubt this is real, some woods are very dense and strong but strong enough to get down to 10mm? the images are obviously (pretty poor) renderings. hotmail address? whole thing smells like african elephant poo to me.

Man this is just a Motorola SLVR L3 with a wook case and a gold back…. At least vertu’s look like no other phones.

im not much of an environmentalist, but i love the fact that they’re killing 200 yr old trees to make the ugliest and most impractical cell phone ever made.

i hope for their sake that the actual product (if feasible) would look better than this mock up.

Doesnt anybody else think that the directional pad resembles a swastika?

  11. 11 Russian Nov 29th, 2006 at 5:04 am

What are you talking about, mr. wonder leech? Swastika? ah, that kind of signs… brand for another country.

  12. 12 Rom Nov 30th, 2006 at 10:02 am

Looks like crap. Any brand replacing regular plastic by wood or gold can introduce itself as luxury brand ??! Don’t think so ! takes more than that…Let’s say gresso is WalMart “luxury”.

thats the first thing I noticed, the directional pad resembles a swastika.

  14. 14 kiki Jan 13th, 2007 at 3:54 am

    An amazing phone!

  15. 15 me Jan 19th, 2007 at 4:45 pm

keypad resembles a swastika as much as number 8 resembles a pair of boobs..

How can you impress in the luxury market with such a poor design and material election? obviously a hoax.

  16. 16 me Jan 19th, 2007 at 4:49 pm

and I also have to say say Mobiado is crap,
it is a nokia phone encased in a wood block (wow!).
big, boxy, unspecial, you even get the nokia logo whe u turn on the phone…pathetic
